Dear Family,
Wow! It sounds like there is definitely a lot going on back home. Thanks so much for the Dear Elder letters that you guys send. Its so fast and so nice to receive mail every day.l I've gotten some great packages and letters too from everyone so "thank you" so much! This past week has been super busy. We taught some volunteers who come in on Wednesdays ( to give us language practice) and we have to do it in as much Dutch as possible. The only way to learn this language is to be constantly speaking it. It's starting to work because it's messing with my spelling in English! Part of our zone left this week. They were English speaking elders headed to Rochester, New York and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was sad to see them leave but I'm so excited for them. This is the real deal! In my room, we have about 10 or 12 elders every night that do a push up routine that I used to do at the 'Y". It's really a funny sight to watch! Hopefully we get something out of it. My Dutch is coming along very well. I think I'm really starting to understand the grammar. And like I said earlier, speaking it constantly has really helped a lot. I've learned more in the past 2 weeks that I have been here than the 4 years that I took German. Preach My Gospel is a wonderful tool. seriously, for Family Night I think you should pick a chapter each week and study it. I wish I would've known it better before I left. We have two elders who have been here 8 weeks and leave for Brussels next Wednesday. It is so exciting to watch them prepare everything. It just makes everything so much more real and it's super motivating. I feel so incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to be here. It is such a wonderful experience and I know that Belgium and the Netherlands will be 10 times the experience as the MTC. My knowledge grows by leaps and bounds everyday, and it's so incredible how strong the Spirit is here. Also, attending the temple every Wednesday makes me so excited for Indianapolis to have one. What a blessing that is. I will try to send letters every once in a while but I have so many letters to write that I may have to stick with email for the family....I I love you so much and thanks for everything you do for me. Thanks for letting me have this opportunity and thanks for raising me in the gospel. Talk to you later!
