Nov.7, 2011

Wow it sounds as though you all had a great week! That's sad to hear about football. James, next time you play, you'll be a senior. That was so interesting hearing about Williams plans for Jordan and Morocco. I'm really excited for him. He could probably even study here if he wanted. There are a ton of people from Morocco here.  We had another explosive week. Things are really picking up here. It is definitely turning out to be a transfer of faith and miracles. The Geens came back from their cruise this past week and attended church. They looked right at home. David volunteered to say the closing prayer in Gospel principles class and then later shared his testimony over the pulpit during fast and testimony meeting. It was awesome. I love this family! Werner Lefever also attended church for the second week in a row and loved it. He's keeping busy with reading the scriptures everyday and praying everyday. The ward has done a phenomenal job of fellowshipping. I love Gent. I think I should say that again. I LOVE GENT! It's beginning to drop temperature wise but we're still working our hardest and expecting success. This last Sunday, we had an appointment with a man from the Congo. He speaks French, almost no Dutch, and no English. Thank goodness for the teaching pamphlets, the French copy of the Book of Mormon, and most importantly the Spirit.  He was highlighting, taking notes, asking questions in the best Dutch he could. It was neat. We are meeting again on Friday. Hopefully we can bring someone with us this time to translate and make things easier, haha.  I got a letter from Neal, it was great hearing from him! Glad to hear his family is doing so well! I also received a letter from Grandma Linda. Can't explain how much I appreciate her notes. They make me so happy!
James - Thanks so much for your letter. I'll try to write you as soon as possible. Coach Hendryx is the man. Please tell him "Hi"for me and I would love to send him a letter sometime.
I'm sending a package out for sure today. I hope it gets there okay. Could I get some old photos from my football days out here? There is an inactive member. Josh Nyakoh from Ghana, sweet kid and likes American Football. I want to show him some pictures if you could print some out and send them. Also could I get a pocket size new testament? I will try and get in contact with Zuster Harrington. I used to see her every week at District meeting but I think she is now still in Holland. I love you guys!

Love,
Elder Schulte

  1. To say it likewise: we (=family Geens) love Elder Schulte. He is doing marvelous work and we admire him for putting so much effort in teaching us the gospel. We love him as a real brother and are happy each team we see him and Elder Larson.

They've just left our home. We've invited them for dinner and made a typical Belgian recipe for them (some kind of beef stew with Belgian andives) and they loved it.

You can be proud of your son. Isabel and I will be praying for him and for you because it gives us the opportunity to learn so much about our Heavenly Father.

    Grtz from belgium,
    David
