9/26/11

Dear Family,

This was an outstanding week. The weather was gorgeous! People were happy! I partied with a bunch of Ghanians, our path was continuously led by the Lord when plans fell through. I just cannot say enough about how fun this week was! I really enjoyed all the emails this week. They were great. I feel so grateful for the emails and letters. I have received some awesome updates from Cape Cod lately. I love hearing how things are going out there. I hope Grandpa Bob is still liking the promotion! it sounds like grandma Linda is staying super busy with singing! That's really neat that Mom's co-worker wants to go to the TOFW conference. That should be super uplifting and edifying! I am so stoked for conference! James looks good on the field! I know he's super tall but tell him to tackle lower! Paige is giving away Paisley? How are the dogs doing? So you ran into the Silvey's! I was just thinking about Nate the other day. That's funny that you mentioned the family.  I was glad you got the chance to pass on the "hello" to Coach Hendryx. He's in my top 5. So this entire week, the weather has been absolutely beautiful. Nothing makes the Dutch happier than an absence of rain. It was a great week to talk to people and just a nice break from all the rain in the previous weeks. We have an investigator, Ellen, who is our most positive investigator yet. She comes to all the YSA (Young Single Adult) activities and has been to church for 4 Sundays in a row. Unfortunately, I believe I'll be gone before she gets baptized but I feel blessed to have been there for a bulk of the teaching. Anyway, this last Sunday she invited us to her Aunt's house. She wanted us to teach everyone at this party haha. We arrive to this flat and there are a ton of Ghanians coming in and leaving. It was so funny with Elder Mueller and I being the only 2 white boys there. They fed us Waache and took pictures of us eating it. Everyone talked to us and we got a lot of referrals out of it. Ellen was taking us up to random people and would say "They are going to tell you about my church!" And she is not even a member yet. She's awesome. I don't know what I am going to do when I leave Amsterdam. This place is like home to me now. I'm cherishing every minute I have here. Who knows when the next time will be when I come back. It was so good hearing from all of you! I love you all, Have a great week. Cheers :)

Love,
Elder Schulte
