7/10/11

Dear Family,

Hello! Great to hear from you this lovely day. A beautiful P-day and we are not exactly sure what we are going to do yet. Your vacation  in the Northeast sounds wonderful! Glad to hear you are all having such a fun time! The pictures were really great to look at and you all look like you are having a fun time! I was thinking that in the next care package you could send me a lobster. Is that possible? Sorry I haven't sent pictures in awhile. I'm going to try and take a lot today and then mail them out tomorrow. This past week has been really great! A lot of our investigators are on vacation still... Vacations are forever out here! Angela went to Suriname for a 6 week vacation. How the heck do people afford that here? This week we found 5 new investigators. The miracle from this week is Janice. I went on splits with Elder Mueller from Logan, Utah. While we were taking his bags to the apartment, a woman called and asked where she could get a Restoration DVD. In a hurry, I gave her our info and then without thinking asked if she wanted to meet in the next hour. She sat and thought and said, "Actually, yeah that's my lunch break. Sounds good." I think that's the first time we have ever met with someone the day of. Anyway, I asked for her information and for some reason I never recalled meeting her so I was wondering how she knew our phone number. Turns out she found a card of ours on the ground outside of her office on the way to work. Eh, coincidence... I THINK NOT! We met her at a Burger King. She is incredible. She knows the bible incredibly well. Knows that there has to be more scripture out there. She is convinced that there had to be some sort of restoration of authority. Basically the appointment was stellar and in the end we set a baptismal date with her at a Burger King. BURGER KING. Hence, no coincidence. Gametime! The Lord is totally preparing and working on her heart. I'm doing well. Life is great. I love Amsterdam. I'm not sure what the new address is yet but we aren't moving for a while now. It turns out that the new apartment needs a lot more fixing up than they thought. Apparently, the former owner used it as a growing house for marijuana so it has random holes in the walls and all sorts of other stuff that needs to be patched up.  Well, this was my week. Another great week for journal writing. A lot of Miracles and a lot of bizarre stories. Haha, oh... God bless this place.  Love you all, hope you have a fantastic time at Lake George. Talk to you next week!
PS. They don't have oreos here.
