7/18/11

Dear Family,

Hope all is well. Bummed I didn't get to hear from you this week. This week was really great. It's the beginning of a new transfer. I'm staying in Amsterdam and I have a new companion, Elder Danny Mueller. He has been out for 18 months and is from Weber, Utah. Awesome, Awesome guy! We had a lot of work this week. It rained so hard all week long but that did not keep us from going out in the rain and talking to anyone and everyone. We had some really awesome appointments and found some new investigators. We had an appointment with a woman named Anna and she is just golden! I'm super excited about her and her desire to come closer to Christ. Our last P-day was quite an adventure. We found an American food store in the centrum and decide we would pick up a few things from there. We walked down the street and something didn't feel quite right, I look around and see these people standing in windows with bright neon lights....crap, we're in the red light. We had to walk through with our heads directed toward the ground to get off the street. It turns out there are gay parts of the red light district, gross. So that was our adventure this week. buh. Hope the lake is fun. Tell Nana and Gramps that I love them and tackle Chaz for me. Love you all!

Love, Elder Schulte
