Dear Family,
Hello! It was really good to hear from you all this week! It sounds like you are having a wonderful time out East. Oh goodness, what I would do for that Lobster/Steak dinner right now... haha. I'm jealous that you went to the branch; sounds really fun! Please tell Grandma Linda and Grandpa Bob how much I miss them! The week was pretty quiet as far as interesting stories go... or maybe I do. I'll get back to you on that. Everyone is on vacation here so it has been a little slow with the progression of our investigators. We taught a man this week named Manu, from Nepal. We set a baptismal date for August 13 and he is super excited! It makes me so excited to see how the gospel changes the lives of people and watch as they take steps to come closer to Christ. We see miracles everyday, it blows my mind. Too many incredible things happen for it to all be coincidental. The fulness of the truth is here on earth and eveyone needs to know it! This morning we celebrated the 4th of July by having a big pannekoeken onbijten (pancake) breakfast and sang the star spangled banner haha. We tried to end every sentence we said with the word "America." Don't ask me why, it just happened. I guess just a way to show our patriotism? Later today we will have a big cookout with the rest of the zone and play sports. I'm excited to hear how the youth conference goes! I was thinkiong about President Ellis the other day. I really look up to him. I loved the pictures, they were super great! OK, so I have a postcard for Paige, I just cannot find a mailbox. They are super hard to find around here. We are moving to another apartment soon so next Monday, anyone who wants to write will have to send it to a new address. I'm excited for the move. It currently takes us about an hour to get to the church by public transportation, thus we are moving to a neighborhood about a 10 minute walk to the church. It will make things a lot easier! Goodness, I love my mission. I love the Netherlands so much. My Dutch is getting better and I understand people fairly well haha. I hope to pick up an accent - that would be sweet! A little girl asked where I was from the other day and I told her America. She replied back " Oh! Groetjes aan Beyonce!" " Oh! Say Hello to Beyonce for me!" So... If you ever run into Beyonce, I guess tell her hello for this little girl :P. Hope you all have a wonderful week! Tell William, I said "Hello!" Love you all. Tot Straks, Doei!
-Elder Schulte
